Mobile Access

The DynaMed mobile app is new and improved! 

Now it’s easier and faster to get the information you need on your iPhone, iPad or Android device. 

The DynaMed app provides you with:

 To download  the DynaMed app:

  1. For best results, uninstall any previous versions of DynaMed. (Click here for details about what to do if you have an account from a previous institution.)
  2. Go to the App Store or Google Play and download the DynaMed mobile app.
  3. After completing the App download, open the DynaMed mobile app.
  4. Signing in to the App:

           -If you are on the CCHMC internal WiFi network, content will automatically download.

           -If you have a DynaMed personal account user login, sign in and the content will automatically download.

           -If you don't have a personal account user login, go to your desktop version of DynaMed (while on a CCHMC campus) and click on "Mobile use: Get the DynaMed App" under the Spotlight section of the product.  Submit your email address, open up the email on your mobile device and follow the instructions provided.  Note: If you do not tap the authentication link in the email within 48 hours you will need to request a new authentication key from within DynaMed.

      5. It will take 10-30 minutes to install the initial Dynamed content depending on which download option you select - then your device is ready to go!

JoVE

JoVE, the Journal of Visualized Experiments, is the world's first peer reviewed scientific video journal. Established in 2006, JoVE is devoted to publishing scientific research in a visual format to help researchers overcome two of the biggest challenges facing the scientific research community today; poor reproducibility and the time and labor intensive nature of learning new experimental techniques.

Access JoVe from anywhere on the CCHMC campus at jove.com or via the Pratt Library website at prattlibrary.cchmc.org! 

Looking for JoVE on the run- download the new JoVE app from Google Play or the App Store and register using your CCHMC.org email address for mobile access!


Follow these easy steps to download the new JoVE app:

1.  Search the application store on your device for JoVe and select the appropriate app.

2.  Install the JoVE application.

3.  After the application has installed, open the JoVE app and select the "Sign-Up" option.

4. Input your information, being sure to sign up with your CCHMC.org email account.

5.  A verification email will be sent to your CCHMC.org.  You will have to verify your email before continuing.  After verification you may return to the JoVE application and sign-in to access the JoVE content.  It may take several hours for your verification to be completed.

UpToDate Anywhere Mobile App

In just two simple steps you can have access to UpToDate Anywhere and enjoy all of the many UpToDate Anywhere features. (Click here for details about what to do if you have an account from a previous institution.)

1.) Start by creating an UpToDate login and password at www.uptodate.com/login-register please access this website while on the CCHMC campus (you need to be on a computer that allows you to access Centerlink).  Fill out the registration form with your information.  You may use any email account you wish (does not have to be your CCHMC email).  Create a user name and password.  After submitting your registration you will receive an email notification stating that you are ready to log in to the mobile app. 

This registration email will also include instructions on how to maintain your mobile access by verifying your affiliation with Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.  You must do this every 90 days in order to maintain access.  The easiest way is to leave the Wi-Fi on when you are on the CCHMC campus.  Then, when you open the mobile app while on campus , the app will recognize that you are onsite and complete the verification process automatically.

2.) Once you are registered for UpToDate Anywhere with a unique user name and password, you can install the UpToDate Mobile App on up to two devices.  For a full list of devices currently supported, please visit www.uptodate.com/home/uptodate-mobile-access.

To download the mobile app, follow these steps:

1.  On your smartphone or tablet, search for “UpToDate” in your app store and install the application.  The application is free to install.

2. Open the UpToDate Mobile App upon completion of download.

3. Log in with your UpToDate user name and password.

Things to know about UpToDate Anywhere mobile app:

  • You may log in to the UpToDAte App on two mobile devices.  Your computer is not considered a mobile device.
  • Users are only able to change their user name and/or password on a computer.
  • UpToDate automatically retains all of your searching history for easy access.
  • UpToDate offers hundreds of clinical calculators.
  • Community Pediatricians with access to Centerlink will be able to register with UpToDate and download the app

AAP Red Book Online

Are you ready to access AAP Red Book Online from anywhere- at any time?  Follow these steps to sign up for the AAP Red Book Online App today!

1.) While on the CCHMC campus, visit http://redbook.solutions.aap.org/ and click the small arrow next to the Sign In button. Select "Create Account."
You know you are in correctly when you see "Access Provided By: Cincinnati Children's Hospital". If you do not see this, do not sign up for an account. Call Pratt for help at 636-4320.

2.) Click on "Create an Individual Account". Fill out the information in the required fields and click "Create Account."
Please note: It could take several hours for your account information to be completely finalized by AAP and ready for you to continue on to the next step- logging into the Red Book Online app.

3.) On your mobile device (iPhone, Android, tablet, etc.) visit either the Google Play store or iTunes and search for Red Book Online. Select AAP Red Book app and then click INSTALL.
               

4.) Open the app once it has downloaded click on it and login using the user name and password you set up online.

Please note: In order to maintain access you will need to login to your account while ON A CCHMC CAMPUS every 120 days.
