Are you an administrative professional supporting clinicians or researchers? Do you find yourself navigating the world of publications, citations, and scholarly profiles? The Pratt Research Library is here to help.
We’re excited to launch our new training session: “Research Metrics for Admins”—a hands-on, practical workshop designed to empower administrative professionals with the tools and knowledge to confidently manage research metrics and scholarly profiles. Our first session is Thursday, September 25, 12-1pm. You can register for the class on Workday by searching "Research Metrics for Admins."
Why This Training Matters
This session is tailored specifically for your needs, focusing on platforms and workflows that matter in clinical and research environments —updating CVs, tracking publications, and ensuring compliance with institutional and funder requirements.
What You’ll Learn
By the end of the session, participants will be able to:
  • Understand the purpose and limitations of research metrics like citation counts, h-index, and altmetrics.
  • Set up and manage accounts in ScopusGoogle Scholar, and Symplectic Elements.
  • Generate and interpret publication and citation reports.
  • Organize and share references using EndNote 2025.

We hope to see you in class soon!
