Collaborating 
I'm receiving file errors or having issues with sharing my library.
  • Ensure users are all using the same version of EndNote. This is a known problem, especially for libraries created using EN X9 and EndNote 20.
  • Ensure all users are registered with Endnote.com.

 

Cite While You Write

The Output Style that I want is not in the list in EndNote.

  1. Go to the EndNote Output Styles page.

  2. Search for the style you need by entering the name in the Keyword search field. You can also search by Citation Style and Publisher.

  3. When you find the style that you need, click on Download, located to the right of the style name.

  4. Double-click on the file to open the file in EndNote. A window with information about the citation style will open. You can close this and now that style is loaded into the Style Manager.

Sync issues (EndNote 2025 to EndNote Online)

My online library is not syncing with my desktop version. 

In EndNote desktop, click on File > Preferences > Sync. Make sure your email and password are entered correctly and that the 'Sync Automatically' box is checked. Click OK and then click on the Sync icon at the top of the page. Remember to refresh the EndNote Online page if you are checking at the time of the Sync to see if your updates are captured online.
