Dependent upon current work-load, a literature search can take up to 14 business days to complete. Priority will always be given to searches involving immediate patient needs. Staff is not available over weekends
Note: The Pratt Staff does not perform Literature Searches which are required for the completion of work toward a degree or certification program. If this is the purpose of the request we will contact you to offer a search consultation with a librarian.
A Systematic Review (SR) is a methodology, often involving a team of experts, that summarizes and analyzes all available literature in an attempt to provide the highest level of evidence on a particular treatment, guideline or best practice. SR literature searches are time consuming due to the nature of the review and search results can be expected to number in the hundreds or thousands.
