Literature Search Request Form

Use this form when requesting a literature search be performed by the Pratt Library Staff. Please note the following:


  • When providing the description of your request, please list any desired limits, eg.: age, language, date range or number of results.
  • The Pratt Staff does not perform Literature Searches which are required for the completion of work toward a degree or certification program. If you would like to consult with a Librarian regarding such a project, please contact
  • While we do provide training, support and review of the IACUC required literature search, we do not perform these searches or write the literature search summaries.
  • Dependent upon current work-load, a literature search can take up to 14 business days to complete. If a search is required for an immediate patient care need, that search will be given priority and will be completed within one business day. Pratt Library staff is not available on weekends.


Once we receive your submitted form, we will contact you within 1-2 business days to connect you with the librarian working on your search.  If you do not receive a confirmation email please contact us at to ensure that we have received your request.
