September New Releases to the Biomedical & Life Sciences Collection

There is a wide range of exciting talks added to The Biomedical & Life Sciences Collection this month, including an introduction to the nervous system by Dr. Melissa R. Andrews of the University of Southampton, how HIV causes disease by Prof. Bruce Walker of Ragon Institute of MGH, MIT and Harvard, crop biotechnology update: genome editing technologies by Prof. Nigel G. Halford of Rothamsted Research, Mindfulness and its implications for anxiety and stress management by Dr. Sayyed Mohsen Fatemi of York University (Canada) and Ferdowsi University of Mashhad (Iran), and much more.

Our latest release to the series 'Periodic Reports: Advances in Clinical Interventions and Research Platforms' is a talk on CompEx, a novel method for the early evaluation of severe asthma exacerbation, which can significantly reduce the size and duration of clinical trials for new asthma drugs, as well as assist clinicians in their practice. The method was developed by AstraZeneca in collaboration with GlaxoSmithKline and the Universities of Colorado and Lund, and is presented here by Dr. Carla Da Silva, Director of Clinical Research at AstraZeneca.
