About the Pratt Library

Our Mission:  

The Edward L. Pratt Research Library supports the strategic goals of Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center in patient care, education and research by harnessing information and facilitating its transformation into knowledge.

Collections: All Pratt Library books are listed in the online catalog at http://uclid.uc.edu as part of the UC library system. These materials are located in room S9.125. Materials from other UC libraries or from other OhioLink libraries may be requested online using UCLID with delivery to CCHMC for pickup in staff location, room S9.125. Returns can be dropped off in the Staff  location, or in the book return located on Level 2 in Building D near the entrance across from Building T - image of location available here: http://bit.ly/2itf4Xs.

  • Print materials:  A collection of books are located in S9.125.  The borrowing period is three weeks and can be borrowed using the self-checkout procedure.  In addition to the Pratt Library collection, materials at UC libraries, as well as, at all other OhioLink libraries are available to CCHMC personnel.  These may be requested online through the catalog, UCLID, at http://uclid.uc.edu and items will be delivered to the Pratt Library support staff location, S9.125, for pickup.
  • Electronic materials:  More than 76,000 journal titles and about 1200 books are available online through the Pratt Library.  Links to these items are available on the library web site.  The Pratt Journal Portal is an easy A-Z list of all journals available http://search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?profile=pfi. There is also a link to UC e-journals on the same Pratt Journal Portal page.
  • Other media:  AAP cds are located in the S9.125 and may be borrowed for a period of one week using the self-checkout procedure.
